Cheers To Those...

It's funny how you think that you can know someone, but then at any given moment, that person will prove you wrong, and the joke is suddenly on you. You would think that over the years, I would have become used to or maybe even able to anticipate this moment that can occur between 2 people, yet I haven't/I don't. Which I actually believe is a good thing, I mean who wants to go through life anticipating sadness? Not me, and therefor I don't! Yet still I never cease to be amazed when someone pulls the rug out from under me, so to speak, emotionally. But yet again, I choose to see this trait of mine as a good thing, as in I always give people a chance, the benefit of the doubt. In fact I hope that I never change, may my mind forever be open and hopeful. May I never perceive someone guilty before proven innocent. As much as it may hurt at the moment, the pain is fleeting and always temporary in nature. At the end of this experience comes enlightenment, and shortly after, peace of mind. So cheers to those individuals who surprise us, pull the rug out from underneath us, and often leave us speechless. God bless these people for the role that they have played, even if it leaves us momentarily dismayed. :)
